EUPT-SRM11: Announcement / Invitation
Dear Colleagues,
we herewith cordially invite you to participate in the upcoming European Proficiency Test EUPT-SRM11 on the analysis of pesticides requiring Single Residue Methods. This EUPT is organised by the EU Reference Laboratory for pesticides requiring Single Residue Methods (EURL-SRM) on behalf of DG-SANTE.
- Test Item: Spinach Homogenate prepared in collaboration with the EURL-FV and tetatively containing both incurred and spiked compounds.
- Registration: via the "EUPT-Registration Website" between 8 February and 11 March, 2016.
- Planned day of shipment of Test Item: 4 April, 2016.
- Submission deadline for results and method information: 10 May, 2016 on the "EUPT-SRM11 Result Submission Website".
Participation rules:
A tentative List of labs obliged to participate in the EUPTs in 2016 was distributed by the EURLs to the network laboratories for revision.
The following labs are considered obliged to participate in the EUPT-SRM11:
- all NRLs for pesticides requiring Single Residue Methods (NRL-SRMs)
- all Official Laboratories (OfLs) undertaking official pesticide residue controls in fruit and vegetables. This includes laboratories analyzing pesticide residues within the frame of import controls food and feed of plant origin according to Reg. 669/2009/EC ("669-Labs")
The following labs are welcome to register for the EUPT-SRM11 (participation will, however, depend on the availability of PT-Material):
- NRLs and OfLs from EFTA Countries and EU-Candidate Countries
- NRLs and OfLs in EU member states not obliged to participate
- Laboratories from Third Countries (countries outside EU) provided that they are actively involved on controls of goods exported to the EU.
- Laboratories officially analyzing for pesticide residues in fruits and vegetables of organic production according to regulation 889/2008/EC ("889 Labs")
Obliged labs that do not intend to participate in this test are expected by DG-SANTE to state the reasons for non-participation. These reasons should be reported on the "EUPT-Registration Website".
All scheduled activities and deadlines of this PT can be found on the EUPT-SRM11 Calendar. The list of analytes potentially contained in the Test Item is shown in the EUPT-SRM11 Target Pesticides List.
All documents relating to EUPT- SRM11 will be uploaded onto the EUPT-SRM11-Website and the CIRCA-platform.
A general fee of 230 € (350 € for the labs from 3rd countries) will be charged to each participating laboratory in the EUPT-SRM11 to cover the costs of test material handling and shipment. Double amount of material can be requested via e-mail (address: EUPT-SRM@cvuas.bwl.de) or on the registration website. In this case the above fees will be doubled.
