EURL-Database on Pesticide Stability in Solutions
As a horizontal task (on behalf of all 4 EURLs on pesticides) the EURL-SRM has created a database to allow the systematic storage and retrieval of data concerning the stability of pesticides in solution.
The database is currently not yet available online but the aim is to make it accessible within the next months.
Within the frame of this project, the EURL-SRM has been generating data on the long-term stability of pesticides in acetonitrile for several years now. The intention is to make this data, together with other data contributed by various labs, accessible to the lab-network via the EURL-DataPool.
The usefulness of any database mainly depends on the quantity and quality of the data contained. Our aim is thus to collect trustworthy data, concerning any pesticide/solvent combination, from as many labs as possible. This will hopefully allow us to draw safe conclusions on the stability of pesticides during storage in various solvents. This should ultimately allow a reduction of the quality control measures that have to be taken by laboratories in this area.
The labs are kindly asked to submit their pesticide stability data using the following template: TEMPLATE FILE FOR SUBMISSION OF PESTICIDE STABILITY DATA (xls-file; 0.8 MB)
Any proposals to improve the template (e.g. additional fields, additional options in drop-down) are welcome.
