CRL Mini-Survey 2009 - Analysis of Amitraz in EU-Labs
Between 2007 and 2009, in total 46 RASFF notifications were published for amitraz in pears from Turkey (see RASFF Portal). Massive ARfD-exceedances were found especially in 2009.
A mini online-survey was conducted by the eurl-SRM and CRL-FV following an urgent request by the COM. The launching date was 27th of October 2009 and the final deadline was 4th of November 2009.
The aims of the online-survey were to find out ...
- which EU-official labs currently analyze for amitraz and how;
- the intentions of the labs currently not analyzing for amitraz;
- how many labs have received Turkish pears in 2009 and which of those have tested them for amitraz;
- which labs analyze on behalf of the „points of first entry" in their country (in the sense of 669/2009/EC).
