Dear Colleagues,

We would like to announce the first European Proficiency Test for Pesticide Residues in fresh herbs (EUPT-FV-FH01, Coriander), organised by the European Union Reference Laboratory for Residues of Pesticides in Fruits and Vegetables on behalf of the European Commission, Health & Consumer Protection Directorate-General (DG-SANCO).

This EUPT-FV-FH01 is directed at all National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) and all Official Laboratories (OfLs) in the EU Member States. Laboratories outside this EURL/NRL/OfL-Network may be allowed to participate on a case-by-case basis. Participation in this intercomparative study remains on a voluntary basis and is free of charge for NRLs.

The test item, 100 g of coriander homogenate containing pesticide residues will be shipped to participants on 9^th February 2015 (If any laboratory has holidays in the week of the shipment, please inform the organizer to rearrange the shipment).

The laboratories have to determine the residue levels and report the concentrations for each of the pesticides that they detect. The participants can download the Target pesticide List clicking here: Target Pesticide List.

This list of target pesticides also contains the Minimum Required Reporting Level (MRRL) for each pesticide, please be aware that some MRRLs are lower than the general 0.01 mg/kg.

The timetable for this proficiency test is:

The sample delivery will be 175 € for EU OfLs and 250 € for other countries. For NRLs it will be free of charge. Regarding payment procedures, each laboratory can specify their details and invoice requests when applying for the test.

Please, do not pay for this EUPT until we send you the invoice.
