Dear Colleagues,
We would like to announce the sixth European Proficiency Test for Pesticide Residues in Special Commodities, EUPT-FV-SC06, Chili pepper (fresh), organised by the European Union Reference Laboratory for Residues of Pesticides in Fruits and Vegetables on behalf of the European Commission, Health and Food Safety Directorate-General (DG-SANTE).
This EUPT-FV-SC06 is directed at all National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) and all Official Laboratories (OfLs) in the EU Member States. Laboratories outside this EURL/NRL/OfL-Network may be allowed to participate on a case-by-case basis. Participation in this intercomparative study remains on a voluntary basis. Given the limited material available, the registration forms will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
The test item, approximately 200 g of chili pepper (fresh) containing pesticide residues will be shipped to participants on 28th November 2022 (If any laboratory has holidays in the week of the shipment, please inform the organizer to rearrange the shipment). No blank sample will be sent.
Laboratories have to determine the residue levels and report the concentrations for each of the pesticides that they detect. The participants can download the Target pesticide List clicking here:

This list of target pesticides also contains the Minimum Required Reporting Level (MRRL) for each pesticide.

If you are interested in participating, please fill in the application form by 7th November 2022 at the latest (We remind you that the registration forms will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis).
The sample delivery will be 350 € for EU National Reference Laboratories and EU Official Laboratories and 450 € for the rest of laboratories. Regarding payment procedures, each laboratory can specify their details and invoice requests when applying for the test.
Please, do not pay for this EUPT until we send you the invoice.
Remember to include your Laboratory Code in the subject of the bank transfer.
